SPOTLIGHT ON REISHI MUSHROOM SUPREME
For the last year I have been wanting to write my own description of this wonderful product. I finally found some time, so here it is:
REISHI MUSHROOM SUPREME (Planetary Formulas)

Reishi Mushroom Supreme is an exciting product that has been formulated by one of the most respected herbalists in North America. These provide a wealth of polysaccharides, triterpines, phytosterols and unsaturated fatty acids. Shiitake mycelial biomass -
Shiitake mushrooms have many of the same benefits as Reishi and contain many similar plant substances. Shiitake seems to have an affinity for the liver and may help numerous health problems associated with compromised liver function, such as: hepatitis, Epstein-barr and cancer. Shiitake mushrooms contain over 30 different enzymes, high amounts of B-vitamins and more vitamin D than any other plant food. Lentinan, a particular polysaccharide found in shiitake, has become an approved anti-cancer drug in Japan and is currently undergoing clinical trials here in the U.S.

Grifola, more commonly known as Maitake mushroom -
has been undergoing extensive research in Japan, with indications that it may be effective against a variety of cancers, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, chronic fatigue and numerous viruses including HIV. Maitake contains a particular polysaccharide known as beta-glucans. In numerous studies beta-glucans, has been found to possess significant anti-tumor, anti-viral and immuno modulating properties.

Schizandra -
has long been revered in China as “the medicine of the people.” It is a true adaptogen with liver protecting, anti-oxidant and nervous system stimulating properties, without being excitatory like caffeine or ephedrine. The principle compounds found in Schizandra are known as lignans, which are believed to possess anti-tumor properties, act as natural anti-depressants and show great promise for the treatment of Chronic fatigue.

Astragalus -
Long respected and used in China and Japan, has caught the interest of researchers in the United States, because of it’s significant immune boosting properties. Ongoing studies reveal that this powerful polysaccharide rich botanical, may be useful in the treatment of many serious diseases, such as cancer and AIDS, where the immune system has been severely compromised. In fact, Astragalus has been used in the west to counter the immuno-suppressive effects of chemotherapy. Astragalus also acts as a digestive tonic improving digestion and assimilation.

Atractylodes -
much like astragalus can also help improve digestion and assimilation. It is also known to increase energy, while stimulating and increasing over all immunity.

Besides the six herbs mentioned above Reishi Mushroom Supreme also contains: Siberian ginseng extract, ligustrum, poria cocoa, polygala, ginger root and green citrus peel. MSM LOTION

M.S., Johnson City, TN - On July 21, 1997, I noticed a scaly rough patch of skin about one half inch long by about one eighth inch wide on the right side of my nose just about where my glasses would touch my face. I had never had a skin problem before so this was quite disconcerting to me. Starting that day and for several more days I put a triple antibiotic ointment on the patch several times a day. When there was no change, I switched to using aloe vera gel and vitamin E oil on it. Still getting no results, I started using tea tree oil on it about 3 times a day. After having the patch on my face for 3 weeks, I ordered MSM lotion from Wildfire Natural Products. The lotion arrived in the mail on Saturday, August 16. I first used it on the scaly patch about 2 PM. I used it twice more that day. EZZEAC and CANCER

From D.B. to Green Leaf Herbs - In October of this year my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her prognosis did not look very promising at that time. Her cancer was so severe that surgery could not be performed due to the size and amount of tumors. Further tests showed that the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes, lung and liver areas. Her oncologist stated to me that he had not seen such a severe case of breast cancer in more than ten years, and in his estimate she had about six months to live.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Q. M.H. Salt Lake City, UT - How many cat’s claw capsules do you have to take before you see improvement in stiffness, etc.?
A. In four years of working with cat’s claw, I have found that people who do not experience positive results are usually not taking enough of the herb. The minimum for most people is 1,000 mg. 3 x per day and many need to go up to 2,000 mg. 3 x per day to experience a significant improvement in their condition. This amount is totally safe for extended periods of time. Keep in mind that in Peru, natives will ingest the equivalent of 20-30 grams per day in tea form for serious diseases, without any ill effects!

Q. M.Z., Maywood, NJ - A lot of herbs do not carry expiration dates since industry is not regulated. How can this be safe if pregnant?
A. First of all, unless you know an herb is safe to take during pregnancy, it should be avoided. Cat’s claw definitely should not be taken during pregnancy because it can cause uterine contractions resulting in an aborted fetus.
Regarding expiration dates: Generally herbs that have been properly sterilized and then tableted or encapsulated will remain safe to take for many years, as long as they have not been exposed to direct sunlight or moisture. However, herbs will gradually loose potency the longer they sit on the shelf requiring a need to take more to obtain the desired result. Because alcohol acts as a preservative, liquid extracts in alcohol will remain potent indefinitely.
